A Passion for Birds (Birds in Their Habitat)

Program Category: * Animal Programs * Educational Programs * Mime
Audience:Age 5 and up. Family audiences are best.
Description:A Passion for Birds is a comic, interactive, educational show about adaptation. Formerly called "Birds in Their Habitat", it uses Henry Lappen's beautiful handmade masks to explore bird biology. Through a combination of mime, comedy and science, participants learn how animals adapt to their environment and why they look and act the way they do. The show is very hands-on: Participants don the masks and soar as Eagles, stalk as Herons, and swim like Puffins. They leave with greater joy and appreciation for the diversity of nature.
