American Library Association (ALA)-Allied Professional Association (APA) 2006 Salary Survey, March 2007 (v.10,n.2)

The American Library Association recently released the results of the 2006 ALA-APA survey of salaries for full-time professionals in academic and public libraries. This survey collected data about library positions that require an MLS and those that do not.

The questionnaire was mailed to a sample of 3,418 public and academic libraries. Usable responses were received from 2,058 libraries, 47 percent of those sampled.

Below are two tables. One shows director salaries and the other shows beginning librarian salaries for those positions requiring an MLS degree.
