The Virtual Catalog is Moving

The Statewide Virtual Catalog is migrating to a new platform this summer.

During July and August 2014, many of the participating library systems in Massachusetts will be moving to the new Commonwealth Catalog (ComCat).

ComCat has great new features, including book jacket images and improved search options. You can easily select your preferred format for an item where available -- hardcover, paperback, large print, audiobooks, and DVDs will appear together in your search results.

During this interim period, libraries will be leaving the old Virtual Catalog as they prepare for the transition to ComCat. If you have trouble finding the title you need, please contact a local librarian and ask for assistance. Our libraries are still sharing -- the material is still out there, and your librarian can help you get what you need.

C/W MARS, MVLC, and NOBLE library users can continue to search and request materials through the fall. We expect these library systems to join the new Commonwealth Catalog in December or January.
