The Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners administers both state and federal grant programs for libraries of all types throughout the Commonwealth. Here you will find information about State Aid to Public Libraries, the Public Library Construction Program, the federal Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA), and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation grants to libraries.

You will also find information about the federal E-Rate program for discounted telecommunications and Internet services to libraries and the Children's Internet Protection Act, instructions for Massachusetts libraries on how to offer the statewide electronic databases, such as Gale/Cengage, to their users, the Disaster and Emergency Assistance Program for libraries, as well as some of the Partners that the Board works with.

This Web site, and other programs of the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, is funded in part with funds from the
Institute of Museum and Library Services, a federal agency that fosters innovation, leadership and a lifetime of learning.
