Use this form to find your library's URLs for accessing individual newspapers as well as for accessing the complete set of newspapers for in-library and campus/organization (non-profit) access. Different types of URLs are provided to support static IP and non-static IP (cookie) access. It is very important that you use the correct URL type for your library's IT environment. Proquest has provided the brief scenarios and instructions below.

  • Our library has a set or range of IP addresses assigned.

Use the login URLs labeled for static IP authentication. Links to these login URLs can be placed anywhere on your library computers and/or anywhere on your library's website. Any users following these links from within your library will seamlessly authenticate and access ProQuest in your library and across your campus or organization (non-profit only).

  • Our library does not have a set or range of IP addresses assigned.

Use the login URLs in the second table provided and set cookies as directed. This will need to be done on each workstation. You may also implement the solution for scenario below.

  • Our library has some workstations with static IP addresses and other workstations (campus and non-profit only) that cannot be IP authenticated.

In this case, your library may be best served by using the login URLs with embedded credentials for in-library access to ProQuest to enable users to seamlessly access ProQuest from within the library. These in-library login URLs may be posted on an internal instance of your library website (i.e. stored on a local hard drive on your local area network accessible only from within your library). They may also be made available as browser bookmarks or favorites, or as shortcuts on your computer workstation desktops. Note that these URLs are not secure and may not be placed on web sites accessible from outside of the library (unless they are password-protected or otherwise secure). If you are interested in this option, or in setting up proxy server access, contact Proquest Technical Support at tsupport@il.proquest.com or 1-800-889-3358.
