The freebies mailing list provides a forum for Massachusetts libraries to offer
surplus materials, furnishings, equipment, and other items to other libraries 
in Massachusetts.  Items may be free or for sale.

Advertising and Commercial announcements, including publisher and author 
announcements of new books and other library material are not permitted.

Postings to the freebies list should provide some sort of geographical hint in 
the subject line of the message, so that recipients can quickly scan to see 
whether the item(s) are near enough to be picked up, e.g., 

"2 study carrels [Northampton]"  or "Gale CLC volumes [Cape Cod]"
