pubdir-announce is the list used by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners to
make official announcements to public library directors in the Commonwealth.

Only authorized Board of Library Commissioners staff may post messages to this list.

All Massachusetts public library directors should receive messages from pubdir-announce,
either through the director's preferred e-mail address, or through a general library address.

Subscription of public library directors is automatic. Public library directors 
should contact their regional headquarters and ask to have their email address added to the
statewide library directory system if they are not receiving email from this list.
