Assistant Children's/Young Adult Librarian, Lincoln Public Library (Lincoln)

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on, friendly, patron-focused Children’s/Teen Librarian who is excited to put the right book into a child’s or teen’s hands.  Under the direction of the Children’s Librarians, the Asst Librarian will perform a variety of Children’s Department duties; participate in the planning and implementation of programs for children and teens; participate in outreach and coordination of programs and activities; maintain teen collection, oversee teen services, assist with using social media, the Library’s website, and print materials to publicize programs. Position is 35 hours per week including days, one or two evenings, and every third Saturday. This is a benefited position.


Excellent public service skills.  Work collaboratively and creatively with co-workers. Have fun while working with team. Master’s degree in Library Science.  Previous experience in children’s or teen library services desirable.

$26.16-$33.12 per hour depending on qualifications + benefits
