Description:
Apellis Pharmaceuticals, Inc., headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts, is a global biopharmaceutical company dedicated to developing groundbreaking therapies for people living with serious diseases.
In this role, you will support the management of Apellis’ quality records, ensuring compliance with established filing standards and internal processes. As the subject matter expert for records management, you will play an important role in supporting both departmental and organizational goals.
This position is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates with a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree to build hands-on experience in data asset management and metadata. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, have strong communication skills, and bring genuine interest in data and information management. Current and recent MLIS students are encouraged to apply.
Duties:
· Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the retention, accessibility, and sharing of quality records in alignment with Apellis’s records management processes.
· Manage and maintain digital assets and electronic records across eDMS, EQMS, and other GxP repositories, ensuring compliance with metadata standards and template filing guidelines.
· Support and oversee content workflows, including upload, approval, archival, indexing, retrieval, and compliance tracking.
· Maintain and improve record tracking systems and template filing guidelines to ensure efficient identification and retrieval of quality records.
· Contribute to the revision and periodic review of records management documents.
· Provide ongoing feedback and support to team members to achieve business goals.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
· BS in scientific related field.
· 4-5 years of records management experience
· A Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) may be accepted in place of a portion of the required professional experience.
· Experience with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, or ChatGPT preferred.
