Administrative Assistant, Weston Public Library

Duties include processing and reconciling weekly payroll. Maintains confidential personnel files; monitors and updates records of employee sick, holiday, and vacation time as well as changes in pay and benefits. Processes and reconciles all invoices for the library. Reconciles town budget reports with library accounts.  Monitors office supply inventory and orders supplies. Monitors equipment and maintenance agreements and schedules service as needed. Successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, flexible team player with a strong customer service attitude and good attention to detail. Works collaboratively with other town departments as well as library departments regarding payroll, personnel, and financial issues. Other duties as assigned.


College graduate strongly preferred.  Excellent computer skills as well as experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access required. Must be organized, detail oriented, able to work well independently and meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of office procedures, skill working with numbers, and the ability to communicate clearly orally and in writing are required. Excellent customer service skills are essential. A minimum of five years office and/or payroll experience preferred.

Salary according to union contract, $26.02 per hour to start. Increase after six months and additional steps thereafter
