Library Director, Somerset (MA) Public Library

The Somerset Library Director develops and administers library operations, supervises and coordinates the work of the library and library staff, performs highly professional work in directing all library services, functions and resources in conformity with the policies established by the Library Board of Trustees and the regulations of the Massachusetts Board of Library Commission. The candidate must have a Master's Degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited school; a minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of library management/administrative experience, including library technology and a working familiarization of regional network activities, programs and services.

The candidate must possess the skills necessary to effectively and efficiently manage a library budget and work with the Library Board of Trustees and other Town officers and boards in the preparation, execution and presentation of the budgetary process.

Salary ranges from $56,517.76 to $66,111.24 depending on education and experience with a generous benefit package.
