Job Description:

Reference Librarian - Part Time Evenings

Framingham State University is seeking applicants for a part-time Reference Librarian position for two evenings per week 5pm to 10pm (Tuesday and Thursday) and some Saturdays noon to 5pm beginning as soon as possible. Duties include assisting students and faculty with research questions using print, online databases and other electronic sources. Will assist in maintaining and troubleshooting public computers and printers. Will teach Library Instruction classes upon request. Other related projects will be assigned.



MLS degree required. Reference and Library Instruction experience preferred. Must be familiar with electronic databases, have the ability to train students in the use of technology for research, and have strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a team setting. Computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft office suite and social media required. Academic Library experience preferred.

Additional Information:

This is a part-time contract position. No benefits. The work schedule is Tuesday and Thursday 5pm to 10pm and Saturdays noon - 5pm.

Salary: $16 per hour
