From the National Weather Service, Boston Office, this morning at 5am:
“We are closely monitoring what is now Hurricane Isaias near the Bahamas. It is becoming increasingly likely that this storm will track up the east coast and impact southern New England early to mid next week. “
“At this time, there is a great deal of uncertainty in both the track of the storm and how quickly it may move up the coast. Given that uncertainty, the specific impacts to our region are unknown at this time. The latest forecast from the National Hurricane center is attached, placing the storm in our vicinity around Tuesday. Again, this timing is subject to change with later forecasts.”
