Directions: FROM THE SOUTH: Go North via routes 24/128, I-93 and 3/3A. Take I-93 to the Southeast Expressway until you see signs that say "Callahan Tunnel." You will be turning RIGHT to enter tunnel. Go up the ramp and take a left as you come out onto the highway. About a mile ahead you will see Holiday Inn on the right. Take RIGHT at lights. Signs say Winthrop. Go straight another mile or so, through Orient Heights (cars parked diagonally in business area). Keep going straight, take no turns, go over the bridge, pass Osco Drug on your left. Take sharp right at 3rd light (Winthrop St.). Library is about 1/6 mile ahead on right. FROM THE WEST: Go into Boston, preferably via I-90 (Massachusetts Turnpike), and connect with the Northern Expressway (I-93) following signs that say Route 1 North. Go through Callahan Tunnel. Follow McClennan Highway. See Holiday Inn on right. Take right at lights. Follow directions given above. FROM THE NORTH: Take I-93 South or I-95 South to Route 128 South to Route 1 (junction of Routes 128/1 in Peabody). Follow Route 1 South all the way through Saugus, where you will see Route 60 East sign. Take that exit, go 3/4 around rotary being careful not to take the Route 1 ramp on the extreme right of the rotary. Instead, bear a little left up onto Squire Road - Sid Green's Dinette store is on immediate right as you come up off the rotary on a slight incline. Keep going until the next rotary which you will go 1/2 way around - in effect still going straight - and keep going straight to the next rotary, the infamous Bell Circle, straight through again, getting into left lane. Go about a mile or so, see Madonna Orione statue on hill up on left. At bottom of hill take a left at the lights. Signs say "Hospital." Avis Rent-a-Car is on right as you take left. From here, follow directions listed above.
