Database Licensing

The MBLC licenses full-text magazines, newspapers and encyclopedias for all Massachusetts residents. They can be accessed directly from the Massachusetts Libraries portal (mass.gov/libraries) and from the websites of libraries all around the Commonwealth.

After a year-long procurement process, the statewide database program entered a new contract cycle on July 1, 2017.  While most offerings remained the same, there were some changes to the lineup.

Add your library's custom database links to your electronic resources pages.

The Massachusetts Libraries public portal gives residents instant free access to thousands of articles from newspapers, magazines, and journals - plus encyclopedias, academic books, and other reliable research and reference sources
