Description

'˜CATCH THE BEAT' - The summer 2007 theme for Massachusetts libraries is all about music, and a concert with the Rosen Family Singers, featuring Lela and Penn will be a great way to '˜Catch the Beat'. Children of renowned singer/songwriter Gary Rosen hit the stage last summer after years of singing with their famous dad in numerous theaters including such venues as Fenway Park and The White House. Gary has clearly passed his talent onto to his children. The concert is a wonderful celebration of Gary's music including some greatest hits like 'Hippo Rock', 'These are the Questions', 'Teddy Bears' Picnic', and of course 'Rock & Roll Teddy Bear'. After a recent concert at the Winchester Public Library Yvonne Coleman, Head of Children's Services wrote,

"Dear Rosen Family, Your Teddy Bear Jamboree concert was a great hit! The songs were funny and poignant, and there was plenty of participation. You work together well, adding some wonderful moments of humor, and your voices are mellow and rich. You were a professional pleasure to work with, and I would highly recommend your program to all libraries looking for entertainment that will appeal to all children, and the child in adults, as well.'

New Release – “Gary Rosen Sings A.A. Milne” Those lucky enough to have seen Gary and his children perform live know that at some point during the show a special, secret bear wearing a red vest and a big smile strolls out from the wings, usually available to give hugs after the show. The children at the show can’t get enough of this visitor and they won’t be able to get enough of the Rosen’s new recording either, entitled “Gary Rosen Sings A.A. Milne.” Featuring The Hums of Pooh like “Poor Little Tigger” and “The More It Snows”, the CD includes songs about the familiar characters found in Christopher Robin’s Hundred Acre Wood. The CD also includes four classic songs, such as “Discover the Pole”, sung by Lela, Penn and Eliza. “Gary Rosen Sings A.A. Milne” is available now at www.garyrosenkidsmusic.com or through public library specialists BWI at www.bwibooks.com.
