It is 1874. Whistler's Mother is in MA to promote her son's work. Through a new-fangled "Magic Lantern" she is able to show pictures of his artwork and give her thoughts on art, family and expatriatism.

The performer is an artist herself and a certified art teacher since 1975. She has written numerous articles about Whistler and was featured in Artists' Magazine. Her dvd "A Whistler Trilogy" recently won the ACM international award for visual arts. It is available from the artist or from the Whistler House Museum of Art. Lowell, MA.
