In this program, the MOONSHIP team brings in an array of beautiful giant dragon puppets. We demonstrate the puppets and talk about the art of puppetry. We then allow the students to try the puppets themselves, and once they are comfortable, we have them act out our original story "Dardragon and the 3 Hills" with the puppets. There are plenty of parts for everyone!
The story tells of 3 different "species" of dragons, living close to each other, but not associating based on prejudices.
The children have an opportunity for experiential learning as they act out this story of co-operation, and overcoming bias.

We have brought this program to many school groups, including Citizen Schools and Italian Home for Little Wanderers. At these schools, the reputation of the students is that they are "problem", "non-participating" and unable to work together. Jaws dropped at these schools when their own problem students acted out the story with passion and energy for their peers. The puppet allows the individual student a chance to be "unseen" and therefore they can discover new parts of themselves without a risk of being "uncool" And everyone is in it together!
