Program

The workshop begins with a fun warm up focusing on various aspects of movement such as quality, tempo, and levels, as well as spacial awareness.  

Then through structured improvisation the participants will explore self-expression and their own creativity in a safe and nuturing environment. 

The next section of the workshop takes the movements created and connects them to make a thru line, a dance/movement sequence. These sequences can then be put together as duets, trios, or any size group to make a larger "dance." These "dances" may compliment each other or can be juxtaposed. 

Some of the sources used for the creative process are poetry, history, and everyday movement.
