A selection of different regional Native American stories, told interactively, sung, drummed, even drawn. Told with a professional storyteller's respect and sensibility: gently, engagingly, with humor and care, and love for the audience and origin of the tales. The Tlingit tale of Raven always makes kids laugh while learning of this shape-shifting trickster; Napaskiak tale of a Girl Who Cured Herself, drawn on a big easel pad, in honor of the traditional method of drawing tales in snow or sand (Listeners learn how to make the figures; Dinah's Rock--a contemporary folk song based on a true story of an Abenaki girl in the place now called Maine; Southeastern drum with sing-along: Hilarious tale of Glooscabe & the Baby (who proves itself greater than the mountain-strong man); Creation story, even Native American riddles offer a varied approach to refresh listeners' interest and engagement.

As always, the more intimate the space, the better. That being said, enough room for the audience, a table for props, and a performing space for the teller suffice.
