A Children's Story Book, Fairy Tale or Poem is used for each session as the jumping-off point for children to use their creativity, body, and senses to explore the joyful world of movement via literature. From one to several pages at a time are read, then the children turn those ideas and images into exhilarating movement activities which help children develop physical as well as cognitive skills such as attention span, cooperation, coordination, balance, and self-esteem. Children create vivid spatial worlds with props like streamers, stretchy fabric and feathers, and rhythm instruments. Warm-ups are designed to engage brain development and reading skills (eg. horizontal and vertical eye tracking, and cross-lateral exercises.)
