Description

This Land is Your Land is a multicultural, multilingual folk music program that journeys from New England to New Orleans, Puerto Rico to Hawaii celebrating the cultural diversity of the United States. The program includes traditional songs, legends and dances performed on a variety of instruments including: guitar, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, Puerto Rican cuatro, Russian balalaika, Appalachian dulcimer, Irish bouzouki, Native American flute, Latin percussion, and harmonica. It includes music and dance from Native and African Americans, Indo-European immigrants as well as recent Asian and Latin American immigrants. This Land is Your Land can be tailored to include specific cultures, regions, or historical periods and is adaptable to all ages.
