Rick Goldin's "The Balance of Nature" Summer Reading Concert features songs about nature and animals, and recycling and saving energy, and songs about books, and pizza, and dinosaurs, and all kinds of silly things.
It's a lively and interactive music and puppet program that includes appearances by Rick's singing animal puppets Henry the Horse, Quackleberry Duck and others, and features lots of movement, humor, and singing along. This program is fun for the whole family, while encouraging children to read, and to become more familiar with their public libraries.
Everyone's talking about going green, but what does it mean? If we want the green grass to grow, and green trees for shade, and green things to eat, and cats and dogs, and hopping green frogs, then we have to do our best to keep our planet green, and the air good to breathe, and the food good to eat, and the water clean.
