Program Categories
Puppets, Storytellers, Theater Programs
Audience Age
7 years old and up
Puppeteers can bring entire worlds to life using nothing but imagination, movement, and simple materials. Want to know their secrets? In this workshop students will work together as an ensemble to tackle creative challenges set in an imagined universe, leading to the creation of highly original puppetry scenes. Under the guidance of a master puppeteer they will learn the techniques necessary to manipulate different styles of puppets ranging from found objects to hand, rod, and table top - style puppets or they would focus on one chosen style. Communication, non-verbal expression, and teamwork skills will be acquired along the way. The workshop concludes with a group sharing and performance.
