Description

Multicultural Myths to Illuminate the Cosmos--Here is a light-hearted sampler of stories with original songs (guitar accompaniment) to celebrate light. "Raven Brings Light," is a Tlingit/Native American pourquoi story of magic and a powerful trickster-as-baby that kids love; Find out how the face got onto the moon. Sing along to songs of stars and sunshine. Most fun is the instant theater telling by audience children starring in feather boas (bring your cameras), enacting the Vietnamese story, "Why Rooster Crows at Sunrise." It's charming to see the kids adorned and so very proud. A bit of fiddling rounds out the show. Great any time, and for solstice, winter/lunar holidays, as a folk/myth take on space exploration or any time you want to feel a little sunny.
