Audience Age
all ages, best for ages 1-10
Rick Goldin's "Everyday Heroes, Songs and Fun!" music and puppet program is an upbeat and entertaining family concert that fits in well with the 2015 "Every Hero Has A Story" summer reading theme.
This program includes songs about books, reading, and libraries, as well as songs about heroes -- not so much the Batman and Spiderman kind of heroes, but the people in our communities who work hard every day: moms & dads, teachers, librarians (!), doctors, nurses, firefighters, police officers, musicians, and more. It also includes appearances by Rick's singing animal puppet heroes Henry the Horse, Quackleberry Duck, and others.
Rick's performances feature singing and song-leading of original and familiar songs (with guitar accompaniment), movement activities, child participation, and lots of silliness and fun for the whole family. His "Everyday Heroes, Songs and Fun!" program is a lively and participatory experience for children of all ages designed to encourage children to read and become more familiar with their public libraries.

Rick was selected to be one of ten New Hampshire State Library "Kids, Books and the Arts" roster artists in 2007, and again in 2009. His latest recording, "I Like To Read," received a Parents' Choice Recommended Award and features songs about books, libraries, and learning to read.
His music programs are lively, interactive and humorous, and are fun for the whole family. Children love his live performances because they get to sing, dance, and jump along with Rick and his singing animal puppets. Rick has been a full-time children’s entertainer and recording artist since 1990. He now presents over 150 shows a year at schools, libraries, concerts, and all kinds of community and family events.
