The Gloucester Hornpipe and Clog Society has performed throughout New England and twice in Ireland. Our concerts are family- or holiday-oriented, for example for St. Patrick's Day, Independence Day, and Talk Like a Pirate day celebrations. The Celtic songs and tunes of our traditional Irish music concert include the tunes of blind Irish Harper, Turloch O’Carolan, ballads and drinking songs, poignant songs of love and loss, and songs of amusement, as well as jigs, reels, waltzes and Irish polkas. We have also performed with traditional Irish storyteller Sharon Kennedy.
$300.
Our fee depends on the number of musicians (3-6), the number of sets, whether in historical costume or not, and whether a sound system is needed. It ranges from $300 to $500. Typically, for libraries this has meant $300-$500 for indoor acoustic concerts.
