From tiny wildflowers to towering redwoods, the planet is covered in plants. This one hour seminar introduces students to the importance of plant science and potential careers in the field. We will discuss resources, amazing botanists from history, perform a hands-on planting activity and discuss the amazing things plant science has done for society. We will focus on plant movement, and participants will plant their very own "sensitive plant" to take home.
This program is perfect for students thinking about college, adults interested in a career change, or organizations interested in showcasing STEM careers.
$300.
Additional $25 fee for travel over 20 miles.
