Our specialty is "cool technology" with focus on teaching participants how to use 3D software to create + print 3D objects. The Makerspace hands-on DIY approach empowers participants to learn, create, invent, build, proto-type, and have fun. The STEAM based workshops (Science-Technology-Engineering-Art-Math) also includes 3D Scanning & Robotics. We bring 2 3D printers, many laptops, robotics + all supplies. Workshop optionally ends with a fun balloon twisting event. We print off-site afterward and send back to the library for participants to pick up their 3D creations. Certificates included too. Our goals are to inspire & teach all who attend.

Exposing the public first-hand to emerging technology such as 3D printing & robotics inspires the learning/creativity processes on which individuals & communities thrive and grow. Providing the basis of inventing/innovation skills is key to "Build a Better World" Architecture/Building/Construction, the 2017 theme for Summer Reading Program for libraries.  Emerging tech excites and inspires; it contributes to virtually all facets of society. Workshop provides building blocks for future learning for all ages.
