Description

The "Modern Sackbut" program features contemporary music, highlighting the works of living composers, and usually includes a "world premier" performance of a piece written just for the Solstice Sackbuts. This palatable program performed on soprano, alto, tenor and bass trombones will span many genre's from modern classical to jazz and pop, and the audiences will be astonished at the wide rage of beautiful and unusual sounds of the group. We can perform all programs online via Zoom, Facebook Live or YouTube.

Facility Requirements

The Solstice Sackbuts need around 25 square feet of space and bring their own equipment.

Listen to music samples on the Solstice Sackbuts website. CDs are available upon request. We have performed at many libraries and great venues throughout New England and have been invited back for return engagements. We also offer a historical "Music Through the Ages" program, an international "Sliding Around the World" program, a holiday program, and a Halloween program.
