Horses are majestic creatures, and people of all ages appreciate their beauty. This is an opportunity to wear handmade jewelry made out of mane or tail hairs that shed during routine grooming. Several hair colors to choose from (red, white, yellow, black, grey, and brown).
Traditionally these are braided pieces - but participants are encouraged to use their imaginations and create whatever they dream up with the materials provided. Horse themed cameos, beads, stones, and other adornments are featured. An unlimited number of items can be made in the time scheduled.
This program is suitable for the 2023 summer reading theme All Together Now on Kindness, Friendship, and Unity.

Mileage is based on distance from Ithaca, NY, at $0.50 per mile. The base fee covers 40 patrons and their take home bracelets. If a larger crowd is expected, patrons can be added at $6.00 per person.
