A World Of Harmony:
Over the past decade, Windborne has sought out masters of traditional singing styles from around the world to study a variety of vocal music. Through these collaborations, they have developed the vocal agility and authentic sound for which they are known. This program include songs from Corsica, the Republic of Georgia, Bulgaria, Quebec, and Basque country, as well as traditional and original American folk music. The group will get to hear (or sing!) songs from many cultures, while Windborne acts as guides, explaining the history, characteristics, and stylistic elements of the traditions in which they sing. For all ages (fully participatory is best teen and up!)
$400.
We do programs ranging from short 45 minute presentations to full day workshops or even multi day residencies. We know that different libraries have differing resources. In the past we have gotten between $400 and $1500 for such programing. If we can also arrange local concerts or school workshops, it is easier to come to an area, while if that is the only thing we are doing nearby, it is more expensive as travel costs are not shared. These are not requirements, but just to give you an idea of what is the typical range is. We want to spread this music and message, so let me know what might work for you folks, and we can go from there!
