Description

Music and song have always been a important part of movements for peoples rights. From the Diggers in 16th century England advocating the "leveling" of the social classes, to voting rights in the 1840s in the UK, through abolition, women's rights, union songs and environmentalism though today's struggles, Windborne uses song to educate about struggles of movements past, and discuss how they affect us today. This is a companion presentation to our book Song on the Times: A Songbook and Album For Social Struggle, and is thought provoking as well as heart-moving in its message and music. Best for teens and adults.

Fee
$400.

We do programs ranging from short 45 minute presentations to full day workshops or even multi day residencies. We know that different libraries have differing resources. In the past we have gotten between $400 and $1500 for such programing. If we can also arrange local concerts or school workshops, it is easier to come to an area, while if that is the only thing we are doing nearby, it is more expensive as travel costs are not shared. These are not requirements, but just to give you an idea of what is the typical range is. We want to spread this music and message, so let me know what might work for you folks, and we can go from there!
