Andy & Judy - New England Folk In Concert
Program Category
Music
Audience Age
During a concert we play guitars, mandolin, banjo, ukulele, harmonica and other instruments. We tell stories through our songs. Even though our songwriting style has its roots firmly planted in traditional and folk music, the influences of country, gospel and blues can be heard in our songs. Historical people, places and events are common themes. We strive to write songs that are carefully crafted and performed so that the listener experiences all of the emotions woven into the music. We invite the audience to participate by singing along, clapping or stomping.
Through our songs, the attendees will learn about certain historical events and times. We give information about the instruments we are playing. Lastly, they will learn about the tradition of folk singing as evidenced through their learning and singing of new songs in the spirit of community.
