This Old Hat, Leading Ladies is a one woman, tour de force musical showcasing famous American Women who were the first to do something. Leading Ladies features the stories of the following women:
Dolly Madison reaccounts her life with James Madison and her years as Hostess of the Presidents House, including her account of the War of 1812 when she saved the Declaration of Independence; Elizabeth Blackwell, the first American Woman to become a doctor reaccounts her first day of medical school; Nellie Bly, the first undercover reporter tells her story of feigning insanity, becomming committed to Blackwells Island insane asylum and getting the true story of how the patients were treated; Belva Lockwood, the first woman to run for President tells the story of her campaign in 1884 and also talks about Eleanor Roosevelt, who never wanted a public life but became known as First Lady of the World
