Through a combination of gentle movement, mental concentration and breathing, Qigong helps to balance energyand improve participants' focus, circulation, mobility, and sense of well-being. This is a 5,000 year old system from China used throughout the world to support mindfulness, wellness, healing and health. Since the movements are slow and non-impact based, they can be done at any age or fitness level, and can be adapted for people with health and mobility issues. This simple introductory class will teach the basics of breathing and simple movements that can help energize and focus you throughout the day. Can be used for student, elder, and employee wellness or as a warm up for theater and sports. Please join us for this introductory session taught by Qigong and Tai chi practitioner J.T. Turner.
