Choose from our popular American literature and history focused programs especially suited for October (but fun for any season)!:

a) WITNESS: Miller's The Crucible and the Salem "Witch" Trials: Professional actors/teaching artists Marci Diamond & J.T. Turner bring the Salem "Witch" Trials to life, with plenty of audience participation, and discussion of the historical context of both the actual events and the play "The Crucible".

b) Traditional American Ghost Stories: J.T. Turner spins a spooky mix of ghostly traditional tales, from light and silly to dark and scary, including The Fiddler of Maine, John and The Ghost, The Devil's Footprint, and more!

c) Edgar Allan Poe: The Raven and The Tell-tale Heart:. Professional actor J.T. Turner dramatizes Poe's "The Telltale Heart" and "The Raven", and discusses Poe's life and works.

d) Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. The Headless Horseman Rides Again! J.T. Turner portrays Washington Irving telling his most famous tale. Taking on all the roles, Turner has adapted the tale to keep all ages entertained, with story theater at its best!
