“Sentimental Journey”- Songs of the 1940’s

Doug Schmolze, voice and guitar, revisits some of the great songs of the swing era. Works by composers such as Duke Ellington, Rogers and Hammerstein, Glenn Miller, Hoagy Carmichael and others are featured. With his lyric tenor voice and solid guitar playing Doug gives these classic songs a new reading. Mature audiences will recognize most of this music and younger listeners will be impressed by how different the style was in the pre-rock era. Doug presents this music in concert format, with a multimedia show if desired. Also available online using Zoom. Doug studied guitar and composition at the Berklee School of Music and voice with Frank Kelley.
