Description

 Songs of the 1950’s,

“Something Old, Something New---“,

Doug Schmolze, singer and guitarist, presents some favorites that he remembers from childhood.  A number of hit songs of that decade were “borrowed” from older sources, such as Elvis’ “It’s Now or Never” (o Sole Mio). There were also many crossover favorites (from Country to Rock), like “The Wayward Wind”. Some beautiful ballads are included and audiences will have the opportunity to sing along on some of them (I’m Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself a letter”). A power-point show accompanies the music with visuals that enhance the musical experience and lyrics to the sing-a-longs.  A screen, large flat-screen TV or blank wall will be needed for the power-point projection.
