Winner of the Nickelodeon award for Best Children’s Theater, ImprovBoston dishes out the laughs to audiences of all ages. This improv and music extravaganza is completely made up on the spot and highly interactive, featuring many opportunities for students to take the stage alongside the cast of professional improvisers. Never the same show twice, schools bring ImprovBoston back year after year. Travel Fee: $100 flat rate for locations within 150 miles round trip from Cambridge, MA 02139. For travel greater than 150 miles round trip, please use the mileage rates chart.

Facility Requirements

Provisions:
2 reserved parking spaces
4 chairs
Water for 4 performers
Lunch if staying all day (school lunch is acceptable)
Performance Space:
Enough room for four performers to move around free of obstacles, set pieces, etc.

Ample lighting (front lighting) to illuminate actors anywhere on stage.

If a raised stage, safe and easily accessible stairs leading from audience to stage.

Minimum stage area dimensions: 10 feet wide by 6 feet deep
Arrival time before first performance: 45 minutes
Strike time: 15 minutes
Time needed between performances: 15 minutes minimum, 30 preferred
Teachers are expected to model appropriate audience behavior for students.

Please introduce the performers as a Young Audiences of Massachusetts ensemble.
