Description

Virtuoso didgeridoo player Rob Thomas takes the audience on a musical journey to Australia and beyond, as he plays an assortment of didgeridoos and worldly percussion instruments. The didgeridoo, usually a hollow tree trunk, has been played by Aboriginal Australians for at least 1,500 years, and is known for its otherworldly sound. Rob plays a modern style, mixing fast-paced rhythms with relaxing soundscapes and organic sound effects. He also discusses the history of the didgeridoo and its use in modern music.

In the virtual concert, Rob uses specialized broadcasting software and green screen technology to immerse the audience in a stunning landscape of Australian forests, deserts, oceans and distant galaxies. It's a mesmerizing journey of sight, sound and imagination!

Didgeridoo Down Under owner Darren Liebman also manages a directory called Virtual Stars, which features entertainers who perform online programs. The roster includes a comedy dog act, an educational wildlife show, a cartoonist, a kids’ comedian, a puppeteer/storyteller, and a musician/singer/storyteller. Contact Darren for more info.
