Destination: INSPIRATION! VIRTUAL StoryCrafting Adventure is a multi-media interACTIVE experience in which kids don't just watch their screens: they JOIN IN!
Kids learn the art of StoryCrafting as they engage in a mix and match assortment of interactive segments including pre-recorded videos with fill in the blank sheets and response templates, online escape rooms, and direct interaction with the author via Zoom or other group meeting sites.
Kids of all ages and levels of ability LOVE it because THEY are the STARS of the SHOW !
Educators and Parents LOVE it too because:
Ø Children LEARN BY DOING - - Award-winning author Jason Edwards teaches the fundamentals of storycrafting by working together with the students to draw upon their own knowledge and inspirations. This program covers multiple Common Core curriculum standards including CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.3.3 ; 4.3 ; 5.3 : "Write narratives to develop real or imagined events using effective technique, descriptive details, and clear event sequences."
Ø It’s Great For MULTIPLE GRADE LEVELS - No reading or writing skills are required for the introductory program, so children of all levels of ability create characters, choose settings, advance the plot, and make up dialog in this interactive, improvisational adventure. Follow-up lessons review all elements of the creative writing process.
Ø Children are CAPTIVATED – Everyone is personally engaged and proceeds at their own pace through their series of program segments. And everyone becomes a published writer!
Ø It’s FLEXIBLE - The program has multiple interchangeable segments that are assembled to meet your specific needs and accommodate a wide variety of ages. Bonus features and supplemental lessons can be tailored, mixed, and matched to the curriculum needs of every grade.
Ø It’s Got a PROVEN TRACK RECORD – Author/’Edutainer’ Jason Edwards is a seasoned educator with over 30 years of experience creating innovative way to engage, entertain, and inspire children. He has performed his programs at over100 schools and libraries from coast to coast, including as a featured presenter at AASL 2019 and the keynote performer at the White Plains Young Writers Workshop.
