Adults (and anyone younger who is interested)
Perhaps you have smelled the lovely fragrance of a peony and were immediately transported back to a time long ago in your grandmother’s garden. Have you ever wondered why that is? Have you ever wondered why that is? I’ll explain why in this presentation and much more.
In this lecture accompanied by a vibrant slideshow, we’ll look at what scent does for a plant (botanically, it is not there for our pleasure!), specific plants, shrubs and trees with fragrant flowers and foliage and where to place them in the landscape to maximize their fragrance throughout the garden.
A handout with a list of some of the plants we discuss will be provided. For virtual presentations, a downloadable PDF will be available.
