Join a DINOSAURS ROCK expert for this fun and educational geological journey, exploring of the world of Rocks & Minerals, complete with real, massive museum quality specimens as the backdrop! In-person, we'll do a dig or panning activity - if virtual,  we'll ship REAL gemstones/minerals to a central locaton for distribution to families/children. Explore the glittering legacy of ancient civilizations through hands-on excavation and rare gemstone finds. DINOSAURS ROCK has been providing educational entertainment related to these topics for 20+ years on both the East & West Coasts...We'll cover lots of fascinating information related to Rocks & Minerals and Geology through visual demos and expansive exhibits of genuine museum quality specimens such as Amethyst, Quartz, Giant Geodes, Quartz, Pyrite, Emerald, Citrine and more... As DINOSAUR ROCKS likes to say, "We Bring The Museum To You"!  

While viewing way cool, REAL mineral specimens up close, students will learn, in a fun, interactive and dynamic way about the uses of Rocks & Minerals as critical resources in our every day lives, how Gemstones form, the volcanic origin of cool crystal-filled geodes (with a visual demo of splitting a REAL geode).  We'll touch on plate tectonics in an age appropriate way covering the large scale dynamic forces that affect earth's land, water and atmospheric systems, weathering and erosion.
