The written language is one of the most important technological and cultural developments in human history, and the Romans were instrumental in establishing a written and literary culture that is still used today. Andy will discuss the basics and showcase several types of Roman writing "systems" including wax Tablets, Ostraca, Papyrus, and Stone inscriptions, in both Civilian and Military contexts.
