Description

Follow Paddle to the Sea (a tiny carved native in a canoe) through an interactive water tank diorama. This system uses a recirculating pump with a water fall effect simulating the fall of water through 10 hand cast fiberglass displays from the mountains above Lake Nipigon through Lake Superior, Lake Huron, Lake Michigan, The Soo, Lake Erie, Niagara Falls, Lake Ontario, the St. Lawrence River with locks, and the Atlantic Ocean. Patrons will love the hands on interaction watching our tiny wooden canoe Paddle to the Sea float down stream, learning about conservation, wetlands, water quality, and pollution, with details such as famous shipwrecks (the Edmund Fitzgerald) and major cities and tributaries also playing a part.

Based on the book Paddle to the Sea by Holling C. Holling. May be read during the presentation allowing interactive stops in the tanks, or ahead of the program and reviewed by participants. The program allows for 2 hours of patron interaction and story time.
