Program

Singer, songwriter and author Greg Lato encourages young minds to TRY with his singalong children’s book of the same name. It is about not being afraid or discouraged to take a chance on anything you want to do. His new children's book with song EVERYBODY NEEDS SOMEONE is an inclusive ode to friendship, family, togetherness and belonging. It highlights the importance of having someone to celebrate the good times, comfort in more challenging times, and someone kids can trust to teach them valuable life skills and lessons. 

Greg has also written for film, TV and other artists. Most recently co-writing with Billy Gilman, runner up on NBC’s The Voice!

Greg starts off each event with a brief description of the origin for the book and song, then reads the book in a traditional story time format.  

Greg will then perform the song for the book and several other children’s themed original songs from his award winning album CREATE MY OWN WORLD and new album ADULTS THESE DAYS that deal with everyday topics kids go through. Greg adds funny and interesting stories before each song that kids can relate to! 

Dancing and singing are strongly encouraged!

A question and answer segment will take place at the end of the program which always results in a fun and educational experience about the process Greg goes through with writing songs and how he discovers various topics to write and sing about!

The album CREATE MY OWN WORLD features Grammy winning children’s entertainer Bill Harley as special guest. It has also won a 2020 Creative Child Award and was a winner of a 2020 Family Choice Award! His new album ADULTS THESE DAYS just reached the Top 10 on the iTunes Children's Music Chart and was added on several original Apple Music playlists!
