Snowy House Luminaria
Program Category

Audience Age
13 to adults
Create a cozy winter scene that glows with warmth and creativity! In this mixed-media art lesson you'll craft a charming snowy landscape featuring a glowing paper house nestled among wooly trees.
The base is needle felted using soft wool to mimic snowdrifts, and colorful wool is used to make snowcapped trees for a pop of winter cheer. The focal point is a small paper house, layered with torn book pages for texture. Inside, a battery-operated candle casts a soft glow, transforming the piece into a magical luminaria—perfect for display during the cold, dark months of winter.

“I've worked with Pop Up Art School for several years - they are true professionals and a joy to work with! They've recently started offering Zoom classes and I highly recommend them for your library. Janell and Lisa are excellent instructors and just as engaging online as they are in person. They're also thoughtful about finding art supplies in everyday household items, which is so important right now. Our Teens and Tweens love their workshops!”
