Discover the magic of no-till gardening and say goodbye to back-breaking tilling! Our class is dedicated to teaching sustainable organic practices that will make gardening a joy for the whole family. Learn how to create beautiful, bountiful gardens without ever turning the soil over. Our expert instructor will guide you through a variety of easy and effective methods, such as sheet mulching, hugelkultur beds, raised beds, and straw bale gardens. Not only is no-till easier on your body, but it also creates fun and nearly weed-free gardening. During the class, you'll see firsthand how no-till gardening can be used to grow a variety of plants, including vegetables, flowers, herbs, fruit, and even mushrooms. You'll also learn about the materials and mulches you can use to create no-till gardens, from cardboard and straw to hay and wood chips. No-till gardening is a method where you don't disrupt the soil structure by tilling, turning over, or breaking it up every year. This is important as soil structure is delicate and can be easily damaged. A rototiller can be used once to start a garden, but over time, tilling can lead to oxygen deprivation, nutrient loss, weed growth, and disruption of beneficial fungal networks in the soil. After the class, our instructor will provide additional resources to continue your learning, including links to economical but high-quality products, and the opportunity to ask follow-up questions. You'll also receive any handouts or presentations used during the class. Don't let tilling hold you back from growing your dream garden. Sign up for our no-till gardening class today and experience the magic of no-till gardening for yourself

I am based in Colchester, CT. I try to keep my pricing the same for my CT and MA classes. I do tend to ask an extra $50 for my presentations if my commute is beyond 1.5 hrs. I do offer discounts for libraries who book a series of classes. Pitch me some dates/classes and we can work together.

I typically bring my laptop, join your wifi, and connect to your projection system via your HDMI cord. Besides that, I like to spread my props and books out on a table or two at the front.
