Imagine questioning a conceited Emperor at his Royal Press Conference! Or helping Pooh Bear remember birthday protocol. Magpie Puppets performances get children involved. Through structured verbal participation, children help puppets solve problems and make decisions. The "performers" are finely-crafted hand puppets presenting fresh adaptations of classic or lesser known tales. Choose from "Moccasin Stew," based on a Native American coyote story; "The Emperor's New Clothes," adapted from Andersen's classic; "Leopard Learns a Lesson," from an African folktale; or "Eeyore's Birthday," based on A.A. Milne's timesless story. The program begins with a guitar singalong led by Maggie Whalen.
